Veteran support volunteer: Contribute to the quality of life provided by the VA Health Care System through volunteer jobs, provided at the local VA Health Care Facility. Support all Veterans, by performing assigned job requirements, such as being a greeter, a patient escort, and/or providing refreshment cart support. Docents: These are trained gallery interpreters, who offer guided tours for visiting school and adult groups. Docents train with curatorial staff to learn about collections, exhibitions, and education initiatives. Pet items: The Humane Society of Marathon County could use donations of frequently-used items, such as paper towel, non-clumping cat litter, contractor-size garbage bags (55 gallon), durable dog toys, and cat toys. To donate, call them at 715-845-2810.
